Melquiades is a company that was founded in 1956 with headquarters in both Zamora and Guijuelo. It has a cutting room for pork products and specialises in the production and sale of all kinds of hams and sausages from both white pigs and Iberian pigs. All its Iberian hams are cured in natural drying warehouses in Guijuelo in the province of Salamanca and we have a pork transformation centre in Zamora which is where our head offices are located.
Our origins go back to the 1950s when Melquiades Rodríguez settled in Zamora from Guijuelo where he had been working as a master pork and ham butcher since the 1940s. The company is still a family business and currently in its third generation.
